Tanglewood Music & Arts Festival brings you over 30 hours of local, live acoustic, bands & electronic musicians, all supported by amazing art galleries, workshops, bars and street food. A BYO event, located in the beautiful Thornton, Victoria, just under 2 hours Northeast of Melbourne from the 30th of December to the 2nd of January.
Tanglewood Festival is a positive and creative festival environment; a platform for showcasing up and coming and already established musicians and artists found in our own backyards, basements and band-rooms to create a solid lineup of live solo acoustic artists, bands, live electronic musicians and DJs. We have built an affordable, safe festival for everyone, away from the busy cities where we can each discover amazing; music, performance and art in great company and a beautiful landscape. With a great variety of food drinks and bar, along with workshops teaching skills and ideas in crafts, culture, health, the environment and permaculture. All this put together largely by the help of many awesome volunteers each year, if you would like to help us, fill out avolunteer’s application. It is BYO, but strictly no glass. Over 18s, but family friendly with children under 12yo accompanied by their parents welcome, please see bringing children under ticket tab for details.
We have a strict NO DICKHEAD policy! We appreciate a good party, but it needs to be a good time for everyone, this includes you and our volunteers, security, first aid and crew that work hard to make Tanglewood Festival happen.
We do not condone the use of illicit drugs, or driving under the influence, we expect our patrons to stay safe and look after everyone around them. Tanglewood Festival prides itself on our minimal carbon footprint for an event of its size. We have a ban on plastic water bottles, NOS (nangs), cheap costumes and glitter. We encourage and applaud all our patrons for previous efforts of taking all rubbish/waste home and leaving our event site the cleanest we have ever seen any after a festival. We love to see patrons bring their own reusable cups, water bottles, plates and cutlery. We are phasing out or banning all one use crockery and will charge a deposit to use ours.
